By default, this app does NOT contact emergency services and does NOT send your location.
Users can add email contacts below and allow location access, and the device’s current GPS
location will be emailed to those contacts when the siren is activated. See instructions for more details.
If you are lost, injured, or trapped — press the red button once. Tap "Stop Alarm" button to stop and reset.
Add officer information and up to three email recipients. These are saved on this device
(including when installed as an app) so you don’t have to type them in an emergency.
During setup (ideally right after adding the app to your home screen), enter the officer name, device number,
and preferred recipients, tap Save contacts & device info, then use
Test location email & request permission. Ask recipients to check spam/junk folders and whitelist
the alert so future alarms reach their inbox.

User Instructions & Device Warnings
Setup & testing (do this before an emergency):
Add the app to your home screen (PWA) for fastest access on your device.
Enter the Officer Name, Device Number / ID, and up to three preferred email recipients.
Consider entering a MonitoredDispatch Center Email Address, for 24/7 monitoring.
Tap Save contacts & device info to store this information on this device.
Tap Test location email & request permission:
Your device will ask for permission to access your location. Tap Allow.
A test email with your approximate location and the officer/device info will be sent to the recipients you entered.
Ask your recipients to:
Confirm they received the test email.
Check their spam/junk folders.
Whitelist or mark the alert email as “Not spam” so future emails go to their inbox.
Press the red ACTIVATE SIREN button once to test the audible/visual alarm on your device.
You may also use the Silent Alert button to test sending an email alert without sound or flashing.
How to use My Locator in an emergency:
Open the app (preferably from your home screen shortcut).
To make noise and attract local attention, press the red ACTIVATE SIREN button once.
To send a silent panic alert (no sound or flash), tap the Silent Alert button.
If you have saved officer/device info and email contacts and previously granted location permission, the app will attempt to:
Read your device’s current GPS location, and
Email your coordinates, officer name, device number, and a map link to the saved recipients, with a note indicating it was a SILENT ALERT.
The screen will flash and, if enabled, the device will vibrate repeatedly only when using the main siren.
Use the Flash, Vibrate, and Fullscreen buttons to adjust behavior for the audible alarm.
To stop the audible alarm, tap Stop Alarm and confirm when asked.
General limitations (all devices):
This app does not directly contact 9-1-1 or emergency services.
Email delivery is not guaranteed. Emails may fail, be delayed, or be filtered to spam for many different reasons (network issues, provider filtering, server problems, spam rules, device settings, etc.).
Online Policing Solutions (OPS) makes no guarantees that any alarm, vibration, or email will be sent, delivered, or received and is not responsible for any failure or malfunction of this app, email services, or your device.
The web app cannot override your device’s hardware mute switch, system volume, Do Not Disturb, or Focus modes.
For maximum volume when using the siren, make sure media volume is turned up and the device is not muted or in silent mode.
Battery saver or aggressive power-management settings may reduce brightness, vibration, and keep-awake behavior.
Android warnings:
Turn off Do Not Disturb / Focus modes if you need the loudest possible alert.
Confirm that Media volume is up (not just Ringtone volume).
On some devices, Battery Saver and background-restriction settings can pause the alarm, vibration, or screen wake if the screen is off for long periods.
If installed as an app (PWA), some manufacturers may still close it in the background. Keep the screen on and device unlocked when actively using it.
iOS & iPadOS warnings (Safari & PWA):
The side/ring mute switch and volume buttons always apply. If your iPhone/iPad is muted or very low volume, the siren may be difficult to hear.
Do Not Disturb / Focus modes and Low Power Mode can limit sound, vibration, and background behavior.
When used as an installed web app (PWA) from “Add to Home Screen”, iOS may still:
Pause audio and vibration when the device is locked or you switch apps.
Dim or turn off the screen after inactivity, even while the alarm is running.
Safari/iOS may also apply stricter limits to repeated vibration or notifications over time.
For the most reliable operation, keep the app visible on screen, device unlocked, and test your volume and vibration before relying on it.
Important: Always test this app on your specific device and configuration so you understand how loud it is, how long it can run, how email behaves, and how your phone behaves when the screen locks or when you switch apps.
